Hi Laurence and Histonetters,

You can use a Giemsa to visualize the organisms but they can resemble
others.  There are antibodies out there that are specific for toxo. (Dako
has a polyclonal).  Otherwise there are EIA and PCR assays that can be
performed on various body fluids.
