Andrea,
	I think there are probably as many techniques as people in
histoland. There are some nice articles by Shi and others correlating temp,
time and pH all important factors. If you have access to Pub Med just enter
Shi, if you would like exact references I can look them up for you.

When using a microwave for heat antigen retrieval in citrate buffer how
does one prevent the evaporation and bubbling?  What containers do
people out there use for such a procedure?  Any special hints?
