Make sure you rinse well after the bluing with distilled water (you don't
want to bring the pH up on the eosin from carry over of hard tap water or
bluing reagent).  Go into alcohol before eosin and don't do a water rinse
after eosin.  Make sure your first alcohol after eosin is 95% and fresh.
