Subject: [Histonet] C.P.T. CODING (RE: Decals)

Hello all,
Quick question. How should "Decal's" (i.e. CPT code 88311) be assessed.
interpretation is that the code is an add on and should be per specimen
conjunction with it's overlying primary surgical pathology code rather
per case. It seems to me it's written in somewhat ambiguous language
the CPT coding manual and I'd be interested in input either definitive
your current/prior operational practice. Thanks, Greg
