We used to add excess bleach to the DAB waste, and once the solution was
clear, threw it down the sink with lots of running tap water.  However, I
understand that even tho the DAB itself may have been neutralized, the new
product from the bleaching reaction was toxic itself, but never tested to
prove that.  So, being proactive, we now collect all DAB waste and have it
removed as chemical disposal.  The volume of DAB we produce daily is too
large to treat with permanganate or hydrogen peroxide/peroxidase.
