RE: [Histonet] Warthin-Starry protocol needed
Tom,
I have used a very good modification of Gabriel-Steiner's original technique
that works well. It was in an old issue of Histo-Logic, January 1988. It
can be found at http://www.sakura-americas.com/histologic/pdf/88_jan.pdf and
requires no developing with almost not background staining. Spirochetes are
easily seen. You can also do IHC which demonstrates them nicely, I have
gotten the antibody from Biocare in the past.

Can anyone give me a good Warthin-Starry protocol for spirochetes, ours no
longer does the job.
