re: Special and IHC stainers

From:Bonnie McMahill

Amy,

We also use the DAKO IHC automated stainer for most all of immunos. We have the Benchmark by Ventana, to do mainly ISH procedures, but also do ER/PR and IHC Her2neu on it. We have the Artisan, which is now a DAKO product as stated below. We do only special stains on the Artisan, but it is ideally suited for doing IHC as well. It is great for labs with medium volumes of IHC to do both specials and IHC! We do our main volume of IHC on the DAKO because of it's cost effectiveness.
