  Jeanine,
We routinely use Twort's as outlined in "Carletons Histological Technique" 
with the modification that I use acetone to differentiate the crystal 
violet and the dehydrating ethanols to differentiate the neutral red in the 
Twort's counterstain.  We make our own solutions.
