Haemalum & eosin is done daily by people
and machines on millions of paraffin sections
every day (or month? I'm guessing). There is
no H&E procedure, fast or slow, that will give a
perfect result every time. H&E staining techniques
can provide all sorts of subtle shades of colour
in the hands of expert technicians. Expert
technicians are people, and they do H&E manually,
not as machines.

If all you need is blue-purple nuclei and everything
else pink or red, buy an expensive machine and hire
a trained technician to use it.

Otherwise, spend $100 and buy 2 or 3 books about
staining etc. It's all there on paper, and printed
stuff is much more easily transferred to the bench
than bits of emails and web pages. Books also tell
you to go to the library and Check Up the References.
If you're a researcher you will know the importance
of primary sources.
