Re: Automated special stains systems

From:Claye Clyatt

We installed this instrument in November and I'm very pleased with the quality of the staining procedures and the ease of use of the instrument. We have had a few minor start up problems related to individuals technique, which is to be expected. Dako is in the process of upgrading the instrument and it appears that most of our start up problems that are related to technique will be eliminated. My basic feeling with only a short history with this instrument is that it is a good instrument.

We are considering purchasing an automated special stains systems. So far
we have looked at the Artisan from Cytologix/DAKO. We are interested in
hearing from those of you that use or have used this system or any others
that are currently on the market. Please share all information: the good,
the bad and the ugly.
