RE: automatic stainers
Hi Amy.
I am using a Sakura Tissue-Tek 2000. It fits into the very confined area of my lab. The great feature is the continuous feed mode. Additional baskets can be started at any point during the staining process. It uses running water for wash steps, and up to 5 stations can be programmed for washing. For rehydrating slides for special stains, there is an alternate "program end" station. Which I use for distilled water. Different programs can be run at the same time. I also use the SCA tape coverlsipper.

Subject: automatic stainers
We are looking to purchase an automatic slide stainer in the near
future. I was wandering if I get some feed back on the different types that
are being used, out there in histoland.
Thanks,
Amy
