Here in the States we have available Lens Cleaner from a laboratory supply company called Scientific Products.(Cat # M-6015) They then called themselves Baxter, then Allegiance, then Cardinal Healthcare. I don't know what they will be called tomorrow!
(Unlike Dr Kiernan, our residents (aka housestaff) go through the 2 fluid oz bottles in no time. Maybe they drink it)
When I attended IMLT classes years ago we were instructed not to use organic solvents like ether or xylol since these would unseat the lens.
