I think the thicker you cut, the warmer your blocks should be. We get requests to cut 50 microns for DNA analysis and we have to put the block in the water bath (or warm water) before we cut it. It cuts just like your room-temperature-for-your-20 micron-sections, Nancy. Also, it helps if your blade is not too sharp. Good luck, Debbie.
