Sorry Steve,

The pics have still not appeared on Histonet. We seem to have a problem with the server.
The pigment looks like ropes of proteinaceous material and is present in H&E and other special stains.

Hopefully the pictures will appear soon.

Is the "pigment" present in immuno preps only?
Is there a "pigment" present in unstained sections?
One thing which stood out is the regular pattern of a square lattice;
it looks to be of human making, like you would see in a woven fabric
or the holes in a tissue cassette.
Just how could this pattern be produced?
