Hi all, 
I have uploaded 2 pics on an autopsy case with an unusual pigment. Any ideas would be welcome. Details are as follows: 
The pictures are labelled: Odd Liver pigment1 and Odd liver pigment2.=20
The sections are from a 20 week gestation male who died 48 h to 5 days prior to delivery. 
The artifact was found in the liver only. 
The odd material is somewhat refractile but not polarisable, is ZN negative, and stains red on VonKossa stain (negative) and negative on the Fouchet stain.
One suggestion is that it was proteinaceous material, possibly nuclear.
