Upcoming Job Opening

From:"Tarpley, John"

Dear HistoNet Friends,
After 13 years at Amgen and over 30 years in the field of Histotechnology I
have decided to retire. I will be leaving Amgen at the end of April and
moving back to my beloved Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I may
decide to do some consulting for laboratories in the area in the fields of
image analysis and digital imaging, but mainly I plan to spend time enjoying
other pursuits and interests in my life. Amgen has given me a lot of
opportunities to grow and develop in these years and I will miss the many
friends I have made here and the rewards of working in the exciting arena of
biotechnology. If you are interested in working in a challenging, ever
changing research environment in southern California, then Amgen may be the
place for you. The following is a somewhat generic job description that
outlines minimum qualifications. Applications from technologists with more
senior qualifications are certainly welcome and encouraged. Final job
description, job classification, and compensation will depend upon the
qualifications of the chosen applicant.
