Re: Looking for Cam 5.2

From:Aidan Schurr

Hi there,

Yes, cam 5.2 is in fact a cytokeratin clone. It is a "trade name" for a product which can be purchased from Becton-Dickinson.

It stains Cytokeratins 8 and 18 (inconclusively 19 as well), and is fundamentally identical to Novocastra's Cytokeratin 8/18 and Biogenex's Cytokeratin 8,18,19 (both clone 5D3).

You could even make your own cocktail (minus the vodka, of course) from any cytokeratins 8 and 18 of your choice. This however wouldn't be a single monoclonal, but I don't know if this has any significance.

Hope this is some help,
Aidan
