Mary,

     I use 1% uranyl nitrate in the Steiner for H.pylori and spirochetes. I 
was keeping the solution for 2 weeks, but we do this stain almost every 
day. And there was a noticeable difference in the intensity of the staining 
as the solution aged.  So now it is made fresh each time.
