Good morning all,
     Does anyone out there in Histoland process thyroid any differently than
their other tissue?  Sometimes the stain on our thyroids really looks awful
when the other cases in the rack look fine.  I'm thinking it may be a
fixation problem.  The size and thickness of the thyroid pieces are not
always optimal, but that is a problem with other tissue as well.  I'm not
sure if the thyroid cases are just tougher cases to diagnosis making it a
bigger problem or if there is some additional step I can do to enhance the
stain on these cases.
