Hello histoland - I need to pick the brains of all those neuro people out
there. I need some guidelines on tissue retention of muscle biopsy material
for enzyme studies and also nerve biopsy material submitted for nerve
teasing.
I presently have every muscle and nerve specimen we have ever done in
storage - is this normal?  We started doing muscles and nerves in the late
70's. I was hoping to dispose of some of this material.  Our wet tissue
guidelines suggest retention til the report is done or 8 weeks.  One other
institution I talked to also has every biopsy they have ever done.  This is
a Canadian public/university hospital setting.   HELP!!!!
