My experience is the same as yours. Methyl Green stains very weakly generaly.
Why dont´t you try Light Green. It works exellent when you use DAB as
chromogen.With my protocol you stain 45 seconds, rinse in 95%, 99%, Xylen.
Light GreenSF(C.I.42095) 0.2g,100ml distilled water,Acetic Acid 100% 0.2ml.
Dilute 1:5
