The Biological Stain Commission certifies many dyes and those recently
certified are published both in the journal of Biotechnic & Histochemistry
which is now available through BIOS and the recently certified dyes are also

Does anyone have a source for alcian blue dye?  All
our vendors seem to be out and are not forcasting any
date of re-stocking.     We do a very large volume of
AB-PAS stains and are concerned.   Is anyone using a
good substitue.
