yes
We used Microfil latex several years ago and the material did reach
individual capillaries. The 3-dimensional views were good but stereologic
measurements were not as successful as the latex tends to set and, due to
processing, to shrink somewhat from the walls. Same results using India ink.
The final result is a partially filled capillary. 
If using solid casting materials think the result would be better.
