We use DAKO anti-vimentin (we have it directly biotinylated in-house, to elimiate
the problems you can encounter when using monoclonals on mouse tissue) and have not
found any cross reactivity in the mouse (we use normal mouse tissue as our negative
control tissue, and it comes out clean as a whistle).  We have not tested this in rat
tissue, so I don't know about any issues with other rodents.
