We have had the Ventana ES since July 1996. Reliable, easy to use, minimum
maintenance. Down side: Can only run at 37 degrees C; limited to use
their detection kits - and when the price goes up, you feel helpless
(unless you have a reasonable sales person); in the past little support
from sales rep's --> hopefully I am seeing an improvement there; limited
technical help -- again, I am told I will see an improvement there; you
either have to just use antibody dispensers for a run OR you can manually
titrate your own dilutions applying them with a pipette - not both. I am
told the Ventana Nexus allows both ways to apply antibodies during the same
run - dispenser and manually titrating them.

I will be interested in hearing from others.
