Hello John,
InnoGenex carries positive control slides(infected cell culture) for
anti-Adenovirus antibodies. Please contact MetaGen for pricing(I believe it
will be less expensive than the value you cited):

Subject: help! adenovirus control wanted
Dear all
Can anyone help? we have recently used the last of our adenovirus positive
blocks, and guess what instead of the odd request once in a while, we are
now getting them every other day (or so it seems). I have looked at
commercially available controls slides, but at around £10 per slide they are
wayyy too expensive for this mean Scot, who works in an underfunded
department. Does any one know of somewhere I could buy a block from which a
reasonable number of sections could be cut.
Many thanks in advance
