I would like to hear from any individuals working with this instrument to learn if our performance problems with this unit are unique or have been shared by others. 

we seem to have chronic problems with the block holder assembly. set screws used to orient the block face come loose during sectioning, causing the face angle to change.
this seems to occur irrespective of the tension placed on the tightening adjustment, making it impossible to use this instrument for dense tissues and tiny biopsies that could be lost.

block holder assembly has been replaced three times, all to no avail.
