Dear Colleagues:
My, my, my!! Now that is service! Question in one day, a flood of
responses back the next. Many thanks to all of you who took the time to
respond to my query regarding the Ventana processor. Here is some additional
information for those of you who requested it.
We run three stations of NBF @ 40C. Vacuum and pressure are 15/7 for
all stations including paraffins. All alcohols (ethanol) are @ 39C. We run
graded alcohols - 70%, 80%, 95%, and two 100%'s. All alcohols are @ 30
minutes. There are two stations of recycled xylene @ 39C for 30 minutes
each. There are three paraffin stations @60C and times of 40, 45, and 50
minutes, respectively. We use a mixture of Paraplast (2/3) and Paraplast
Extra (1/3).
A quick comment on hydrometers (mentioned a few days back): they are
useful for ethanol only. Using them with other types of alcohol will give
false readings.
Thanks again- Hi Tim!
