Dr. Chiriboga

SUNY Cobleskill has an excellent program that has an
internship after the students have completed their two
year core requirements. They go to only one facility
which makes things easier. The course requirements
are fairly difficult but the techs who make it out of
there are very good.

You can contact the Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences
at: 518-234-5413. His name is Dr. Edwin Andrews. I'm
not sure who is heading up the Histology department at
this time, it was Ann Marie Behling (she developed the
program back in the mid 70's) but she has since
retired.

Ocean County Community College has also started a
Histology program (it is in Toms River New Jersey).
Ms. Linda Caltigerone is the director. I misplaced
her phone number, but could get it for you if needed.
They work their program a little differently, but the
students I've worked with in the past have been
willing and intelligent.

Finding good Histotechs is like finding a Giant Panda
in NYC. Good luck.
