When I have done blood smears for IHc I fix them in formalin, the water in
the formalin removes all the red cells and the endogenous peroxide and fixes
white or abnormal cells to the slide, then I air dry and run as usual. I have
had great results.
Formalin for 15 min
air dry 15 min
proceed with IHC
