We use 3% glutaraldehyde for our monkeys. Works great. Eyes from other
species (sent to us from our other branch in San Diego) that have been
fixed in 10%NBF are usually trashed after trimming.

Subject: eye fixation
Due to concerns regarding Bouin's, our lab is currently revising procedures
for fixation of eyes collected from domestic livestock and pet animals.
Would anyone in the list have suggestions for alternative fixatives?
Thank you,
