Bill,
This is a TZANC test, which is in brief a cytologic examination of material
from a bulla or blister.
Usually the roof is gently scraped and examined with any bulla fluid.
Useful for acantholytic v. non-acantholytic blisters and also in the
diagnosis of Herpes.

Subject: Stain information
Dear All,
Has anyone ever heard of a TZANG stain for skin. I have no idea what
it should stain. It has been requested by a clinician on a request
form.
Thanks
