Joan,
Pollak's rapid trichrome stain (Pollak,O.J. Arch. Path., 37: 294, 1944) is a
modification of the Goldner-Masson Technique for connective tissues. It was,
apparently, sold by the Will Corporation, Rochester, New York. I have a
protocol for the formulation and technique, if you so wish. The choice of a
substitute will depend on your purpose.
