My Pathological Master has expressed a wish that the IHC laboratory consider
performing In Situ Hybridization staining for CMV and EBV (and possibly
Kappa and Lambda) in place of the IHC (LSAB-HRP) we are currently using. The
thought being that the increased sensitivity will provide much greater
diagnostic info on our transplant patients. The staining would be performed
on routine FFPE material.

It is my intention to do the ISH via commercial ISH kits to make life
simpler (although yes, more expensive). I am therefore very keen to make
contact with anyone who is currently using or has experience with 'ready to
use' probes & detection kits. I am particularly interested in any feedback,
both good and bad, from those using DAKO, BioGenex, Novocastra, KReATECH
Diagnostics, Innogenex or Kirkegaard & Perry Laboratories (KPL) reagents as
I know these companies have local agents. Please contact me directly if you
do not wish to offend any of the above with negative comments.

Thanks in advance.
