Re: HistoGel

1. What is the faint red color from? Phenol red?

2. Is HistoGel o.k. for in situ tissue?

3. According to the Histogel procedure summary, after the vial is open
"it is not recommeded to use for more than a one week period" why?
Is anyone alloquoting it into sterile microfuge tubes to keep it longer?
We are a research lab - and a 10 ml tube would last me at least 2 months.

Thanks in advance
