I use the boehringer-mannheim tunnel kit wich gives you the flexibility
of using a few diffrent detction systems to visualize your marker. I
have not tried the Intergen protocol.
By the way, you are correct. The "tunel" (TdT-mediated dUTP nick end
labeling) method recognizes apoptosis induced DNA strand breaks by
enzyme labeling the free 3'-OH ends, in situ!
