I use crystal mount on double and triple stains. Take your slide  from
water and tap off the excess but leave the section nice and wet. Place 4-7
drops and allow this to spread well beyond your sections. Be liberal. You
want a nice fat layer of liquid which will shrink down to a film in the
oven. Place slides flat in 60 degree oven for 30 minutes to 1 hour. 
They say you can dip the dried slides in xylene and coverslip, but I have
not done this. The manufacturer is BioMeda- the have a website.
