Hi,
    Have you tried placing the coverslipped slide in a tightly sealed
coplin jar
in an oven (about 60 degrees). The heat should accelerate the rate of
dissolving
of the resin.
    By the way let the jar cool before you open it and do so under a hood. Just
as some do with formaldehyde. :-) haha
