what CPT code to assign for a PAS that is done for Fungus. Should it be
billed for the Fungal stain, or for Pas (883121,883131). Also, what code is
to be assigned for a Quik Dip stain (we routinely do them on all
gastric/esophageal biopsies).<<

I presume codes 88312 (bugs) and 88313 (everything else) are meant here.

You might check what you're charging - if the two charges are the same, it
probably doesn't make any difference.

I'd certainly call the "Quik Dip" (what's that?) stain 88312, and probably
the PAS done for fungus also.
