Dear All,
Since 1984 we have been using a BioRad H2500 Microwave Processor to
process renal biopsies.
Our Protocol:
Fixation: solution not important 10min @ 60degreesC
Dehydration: 100% alcohol 8 min @ 60C
100% alcohol 10min @ 60C
Isopropanol 8 min @ 60C
Isopropanol 10min @ 60C
Infiltration: Paraplast Wax in vacuum embedder under 15mm
mercury @ 60c TWO CHANGES 10 MINS.
The pathologist usually has the slides in under 2 hours and reported
in under 3 hours.
