I've sent this message more than once from my own email but it keeps coming
back to me attached to the Welcome to histonet message. Is there something
I'm doing wrong?

the real question...

We are going to be getting some cells grown on polycarbonate filters for
processing for paraffin sectioning. The filters are held in a support
base and the whole thing will be fixed in formalin before they bring it to
the lab. My plan is to remove the base after fixation and then to process
the filters with the cells.
What I'm asking for I guess, is for suggestions on cutting these samples
for H&E and then possibly other staining.
We do get samples of mouse intestine attached to a membrane to keep it flat
and this processes and cuts without problem. I don't know if I should
expect the filters to act the same as the membranes or not.
I'm sure that out in histonet land somebody has attempted this or is doing
this - if anybody has some helpful tips can you send them along by email?
Thanks!!!
Andi
