Gail,
I think the best way to address this issue is do a preliminary study
with both fixatives. Same skin sample[s] fixed the same way and continued
through the procedure[s] with appropriate controls. That way you will have
definite proof.

		Subject:	Question about Prefer fix.

		Dear Histonetters,
I need some help with info on Prefer fixative. I
have a researcher
who is doing work with cultured skin and In-Situ. I need
proof for her that
Prefer fixative will not ruin the In-Situ. Can anyone give
some help on this
matter. If possible, could someone tell me your procedure
for processing and
fixing tissue. The only fixative she wants to use is
Paraformaldehyde,
because that is what her protocol states for previous
researchers. Any ideas
or help will be greatly appreciated, thank you to all for
your help.
