We have had pretty good success with drying them overnight, vertically, then putting them face to face, wrapping them tightly in parafilm and then putting them into a ziploc and expelling the air.
And then store at -20.
We have only done this on 4 to 5 micron sections, and have them stored for up to 3 years and they retain their antigenicity fairly well.
