RE: blade holder

From:Barbara Stancel

I agree with Joyce. The blade holder Klaus makes and sells is the best I
have ever used. It is easy to use and holds the blades very tight. Remember
when you order blade holders, you should order one for each microtome. They
should not be moved from one microtome to another!!. We unknowningly
switched the two blade holders and had an awful time with chatter and
venitian blind effect. When I called Klaus he knew exactly what I had done!
We switched them back and have never had another day of trouble. The
microtome screws which hold the blade holder make impressions on the blade
holder, and hold much tighter when aligned!!

Good luck with your decision,

Histologically yours,
