Subject:	Formalin Neutralization Pads Source

Fellow Histonetters and histology supply companies/representatives,

We may be in the market to purchase a large quantity of formalin
neutralization pads (probably thousands and thousands) to be used at our
customer sites. These customers are supplied with pathology kits containing
two jars of 10% NBF. Our agency is looking into supplying them with
something to absorb AND deodorize small formalin spills. Hopefully the pads
can then be tossed into normal solid waste recepticles (trashcans).

Histonetters, what companies have you used? Do the pads really work? Can
they be tossed into the trash can? Which ones do you use and like?

I am looking for sources for Formalin Neutralization Pads. I have found the
following US companies which supply these type of pads:

American Bio-Safety, Inc. (FAN Pad GL)
Pacific Lab Equipment Inc. (FAN Pad GL)
American Master Tech Scientific (FAN Pad GL)
Sakura Tissue-Tek (Neutra-Pads)
Microscopy Mart (Tissue-Tek Neutra-Pads)
Surgipath (D-Formalize Pads)

Are there any other companies which manufacture, produce or sell formalin
neutralization pads?

All replies and suggestions gratefully accepted and acknowledged.

Histologically yours,
