Dear all,
Could someone tell me if there are any problems with using APES coated
slides in special stains.A colleague of mine has told some of the trainees
that they where not to put sections onto Apes coated slides as this would
lead to contamination and background staining,particularly when doing a PAS
and some of the silver stains.This lead to an intense discussion and I would
like to know if this is the case.It was pointed out that we have used these
for nail beds and bone trephines and I havn't noticed any background
staining from the special stains.
If this is the case and APES is PAS +VE and there is background staining of
the APES slides could you e-mail references.
