Deb,

You think the Canadian dollar is weak, how about the Australian dollar.

Several years ago I calculated the cost of processing, microtomy and
staining one block and one slide at $11.00
per block, with a slight discount for 10 or more to $10.00.

I think you will find proportionally the costs are similar world wide and
currency doesn't count.
