There are many good atlases of histology.
My favorite is Wheater's Functional Histology.
Many of my students prefer Gartner and Hiatt's Color Atlas of Histology.
Ross, Kaye, and Pawlina's Histology: a Text and Atlas is also very good. (I am considering adoption.)
Stevens and Lowe's Human Histology  uses more special stains than I like for a medical school course,
but that might be just what a histotech would want.
Berman's Color Atlas of Basic Histology  has excellent pictures but no supporting text.
