rat tendon & muscle

I am posting this for my sister-in-law who does not have a
computer. So here goes.........
She has a study processing rat tendon (supraspinatus) and muscle excised
from the shoulder. The muscle measures approximately 1.5 cm x 1.5
cm with the point of the tendon measuring 2 mm. The tissue is
paraffin embedded using Paraplast Plus. The blocks are being sectioned
longitudinally. The problem is that "chunks" of the
tendon are falling out of the sections. The tendon is the point of
interest for the investigator. She is asking for processing
suggestions or protocols that may be working in your lab.
