Job Title: Research Technologist 2 
Position requirements: The responsibilities of this position include: 
processing tissue, histochemistry/immunohistochemistry, advanced histochemistry 
techniques; consulting with researchers; creating regular and special reports; 
general lab operations; and other duties and special projects as assigned.  The 
preferred qualifications for this position include: bachelor's degree; or the 
equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which 
comparable skills can be acquired; minimum of 5 years of extensive experience 
in histology/immunohistochemistry; excellent communication and organizational 
skills; ability to explore and implement new cutting edge techniques. 

Immediate attention is needed in sectioning materials for ECOG--PCO (maybe a 
month?)

This is a great lab to work in.  Yes there will be a lot of sectioning in the 
beginning to get caught up, but this sectioning is for quality sections and not 
to section so many blocks in an hour or a day.  We also process and section 
various animal tissues for researchers.  We are constantly working with new 
antibodies (we have a DAKO autostainer), and we do FISH.  This is a Mon. - Fri. 
position.
